The 94 and 95 door panels should be the same as the 93 just the plastics are different.

I was imagining something more along the lines of a molded plastic panel that blends in correctly with the rest of the interior trim/finish such that to the untrained eye it looks OEM, but without the nightmarish brittleness of the factory pieces. Also something that has a good solid feel to it, where the factory pieces feel fragile and creaky. Just my 2 cents, but that's what I'd pay real money for.
Although I fully disagree with the racer/ricer comment I feel like something like that would be a "one off" meaning only my car. I am picking carefully the panels I would like to have carbon fiber.

Think of the Ferrari Challenger Stradale, It has a carbon fiber dash, and door panels. Even carbon fiber intake covers. It's lighter, heat resistant, wont warp or fade ( unless it yellows) and it looks better in some places. I:e; fucntionality!

Oh and I've considered looking into making the door panels (out of better quality material etc) but the issue is you'd have to have a LARGE number of them prepaid and presold to be able to do it, because the cost of making a mold for such a part would be prohibitive otherwise... Just a thought.
If you built it, they will buy.

Yes, and much cheaper than OEM. They make panels and outer skin, whole door basically.

Talking plastics!

HA HA someone quoted door panels new at $450?...not even close! Drivers side from the dealer run about $1,575, storage bin $650, rear quarters $475, console $300, crash pad $975...etc...if you are nuts like me and want to replace everything (I did: albeit still in boxes buy a new Mazda and work out a deal with your salesman to allow you to get all your 7 parts at COST! That's what I did and he did it! I still spent over 6K but I saved at least 5K! Can't wait to get it all together although I'm probably going Gordon's (Monsen) way and still customize the entire interior....it's a sickness..

Not to burst your bubble, but I can *guarantee* you that no salesman provided you w/ any parts at cost. They aren't allowed to do so, even if they want to. At the DEEPEST discount (Level 3 Wholesale, which I have), it's 5% above *actual* cost. They MUST make a profit, as they have monthly invoice and sales reports to turn in and answer for. It's simply not an individual's call.

Now what most stealership servicemen do is they click on the List/Retail price, and then click on the Level I Wholesale price, to show you what you're saving, and how they're giving it to ya "at cost." When in fact, there's still Level II and Level II pricing too. They can select which reference prices to print out lol. It's dirty, but unless you have personal first-hand knowledge of how this works, the only deal you're getting is as good as you THINK you're getting

Just my $0.02,
~Ramy

Talking cost...

Ramy.....well maybe not true cost but I got the parts for 50% off list price (I think I still have the invoice and can prove it to you) So that is close enough for me. Either way I saved a lot of cash! Maybe my sales guy was stealing these parts! LOL!
