unless the shielding goes all the way around except the top like some I've seen. Then you can connect hose to it and draw air directly from the outside. But where?
I know C-west made the best cold air that actually attaches to a whole in the front bumper. It think its type 2 or something.
The intake is really nice. Anyone has it?
I have the rx7fashion inake which is cool, but I noticed the other day how hot it was when I touch the cover, I pulled off the lid to look at it and it sits directly above the edge of the 2nd radiator fan. So I'm thinking hot air goes into the intake box from the radiator when it sits and the lid keeps the hot air inside. I took the lid off and going to try some experiments. What you guys think?

I've seen the Rotary Reliability version and it is a big improvement over Pettits original version, since it has two sides (not including the wannabe lid) and of thicker metal. They have it on display but have not posted a pic like they should. Maybe one of the guys that won it at sevenstock van post a pic.
If M2 changed the CAI to a single filter like what Knightsports uses, I would switch. If they used a single steel mesh filter (like HKS & Blitz) in their carbon fiber box then i'd buy it instantlty!
