intercooler worth the $$$$

My friend told me that he knows somebody selling a used pfs racing intercooler. It is the large intercooler not the one with the red end tanks. He said the intercooler, air duct, all hoses and clamps, hks bov and greddy elbow for 1000.00 Does this sound like a good price? It dosn't look like my apex'i intake will fit with the intercooler. What kind of temp changes will i be looking at compared to the stock ic? I live in Arizona, (H-O-T) my intake temps can get as high as 65-70. That is why I don't drive my car very much in the summer. Thanks

Assuming the IC is in good working condition, that is a pretty good price.

It will likely not work with the Apexi intakes, you will need a box-style intake or Pettit style. You will also have to relocate the battery to the storage bin (you may be able to squeeze a PC680 battery next to the IC).

You will notice a huge improvement over the stock IC once you are in motion and especially once the secondary kicks in.
