intercooler shopping
I am looking into getting a fmic, and I have the stock twins now. But in the future I am planning on doing a single turbo. My question is most of these intercooler kits say they are for either twin or single turbos, and I wanted to know if the only differnce was the piping, or are the inlets also different, because if possible I would like to only buy one. Not buy one now, then have to buy a different one when I do my single.

Hi
That depends.
What single turbine are you thinking of ?
There are tons of intercoolers around the world.
As for JDM intercoolers,
Greddy releases 2 types of 2rows, 2 types of 3 rows and 4 rows.
For example, cheaper 2 rows intercooler doesn't have good inner fins.
The expensive one has good fins.
Then high performance cooling and less boost drop.
HKS releases the same.
ARC releases more types. ( ARC is the best in quality)

Most of the kits are interchangeable between turbos. You'll just have to get new piping done. As long as the intercooler you go with now can handle the boost you plan on putting out with your single. Where in STL are you anyway? There are quite a few of us FD owners there... Wondering if we've met yet...
