I have Greedy SMIc..
Is it okay to alot of water going in to IC?
I made HUGE custom air duct and when it rains.. huge amont of water goes in to that IC.. is that safe?

It's just touching the front face of the IC then? Not inside the intercooler? If it's just on the outside then it shouldn't be a big deal, it might cool the IC down a little but I wouldn't count on it a whole lot. I was worried if it was inside the IC in huge amounts that it would end up in your throttle body, etc..
ppl i think he is just talking about water on the fins...not actually water being added to the air going the the manifold...which would not be a good thing..

This is no different then a FMIC which will be getting sprayed with water anytime you drive in the rain. It should not be a big deal as long as you don't run a garden hose up to it or something. Rain water can't be that bad unless it's a flood. How is your duct any different than the stock duct? Is it larger or does it go out a different location or what?

A friend of mine has a water spray for his 180SX. It turns on when his intake temps reach above 70 degrees and when the injectors are firing.
