Intake piping very hot
Hello,
I am trying to diagnose my heating problem
But i drove the car today in 38 degree temps for about 40mins
moderate driving,
Get home Intake piping is extrememly hot? are they supposed to be very hot?
I do not have a temperature after market guage..
But i have been hearing my coolant gurgle a bit, im not sure if my thermostat is working or now?
If my thermostat was not working would this cause my hole engine to become soaked in hear very quickly?

You drove in 38c temps and you're suprised your intake piping is hot? Am I missing something? Sometimes I cant even touch my prop rod...
Coolant will always gurgle a little after driving in hot temps unless you dont boost at all for 5 mins before parking (and even then). It's nothing to worry about.

yes, that's fine. the pipes under the hood heatsoaks quite fast, as long as you have a duct for your intercooler (assuming you have a stock mount) .. your actual intake temp that gets to your throttlebody should be fairly low.
I emailed hondata to ask if they could make a plastic gasket for us. First they bitched about the rotary heat. Then I sent them a pic that they requested of the UIM gasket and...... no response yet.
