Intake
I have an air intake that I beleive is made my M2, but I am not certain. My question is, do they make better intakes then this? Would it be worth it to me to get one? Who makes the best one?
Thanks,
Mike

looks like you have the old style M2 box. The newer one was CF. I don't know it is an overlay of CF or true CF.
Anyway, as far as peformance is concerned it should be the same between the two: the box shields heat from the engine bay and inside the box there are just two K&N filters. and it get it's fresh air directly without stealing it from the IC (stock intake). Not really much to it actually.

Im sure you can find a used HKS RS for around the same cost youd sell that box for. I have had both intakes....and im sticking with the HKS RS. It looks great...and if you fab up a heat sheild...it will be just as good as that m2 box.

Well do keep in mind, that per Ciriani's site, IIRC, the stock intake box yielded the lowest intake temps, followed by other enclosed designs. All the cones and foamies didn't really do anything in regards to lower temps, they just had that "JDM" look to them.
And yes, those engines indeed look awesome

It is an older Rotary Extreme airbox, slightly different from the ones they currently use w/ their vmount IC setup. Exact same design as M2 except made of aluminum (or stainless steel?) instead of carbon fiber. The older M2 boxes were identical to MFanto's Rotary Extreme airbox.

The people at Tri Point Engineering are pretty convinced that bigger is better when it comes to a cold air intake box. The M2 box is fairly small, and may be a little restrictive. However, it is a lot better than sucking in hot air from under the hood.
A modified stock airbox is probably the biggest and best CAI you can get:
