Question Insurance rates

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a 3rd Gen RX7 and was just curious about insurance rates. I'm 24 years old, this will be my second car..I live in MA and currently have an insurance policy with Liberty Mutual. I called them up and got a estimate of about $900 a year..

Unfortunately MA doesn't seem to have any classification of recreation vehicle or anything and I can't do anything but pay the insurance during the winters when I don't use the car..

Please give me an idea of what you pay, preferably in MA and with which insurance company you are getting the rates you are. Thank you

Well, I am not from MA, but I think the Insurance industry pretty much uses the same criteria, nationwide.

FDs are near the top of the food chain, insurance cost wise. I am assuming due to the performance potential. My car is a catagory 14 (out of 18, the higher the number the costlier) with my insurance company. I was looking at a 328 BMW the other day, pretty much ready to buy, but it was $400 a year higher than my FD (the BMW was a catagory 16), and when I asked why, my agent said it was due to "unusually high theft numbers" on that model of BMW.
So a lot of factors come into play. Geographical location IS one of those factors, good luck on your purchase!

Oh yeah, 'bout forgot......
I am 41 years old, have 4 cars with the same insurance company, a perfect driving record, and pay $1116 per year on my FD. WITH a $500 deductible! So, if you can get coverage for $900 at 24 years of age.....that is damned good!
