Instrument problems, FD3 rx-7. Poor ground??

I have just purchased a fd 3rd gen rx-7 with "some" problems.

oil pressure light is on and gauge is always at maximum = faulty sensor?

tachometer is jumping around, battery charge light and 4wd ABS light is lit up

Are these common problems on the RX-7? What is usually the problem? Poor ground?

i had the tach jumping around too...that turned out to be a faulty tach itself. i ended up replacing it. and my oil pressure dosnt work at all... never got down to figuring out why. AND check if ur ABS works..if not then thats the reason the abs light is up.the only reason i can think the charge light is on wud be a faulty generator or a broken generator belt.

although i doubt u can have so many problems at once...it probably is a faulty wire some where!

Is it the oil pressure light or the low oil level light?

I don't think they are a common problem. Check your voltage with the car running to check if the alternator is charging properly.

Is the ABS light on constantly or just when you drive the car?

Thank you for your answers! I take it that this is not a common problem with all of these problems at once then.

It´s the light next to the oil pressure gauge that is lit and the pressure is always at maximum.

The ABS light is constantly lit as well as the charge battery light. The battery is strong and does not need recharging manually so I don´t suspect that the generator is faulty.

Did you ever figure out your problem? I have similar issues.

Thanks,

Andy
