instrument cluster

So my instrument cluster has been acting up intermittently now for a while and it's time to get to the bottom of this!

I have the usual oil pressure issue... thats fine. I can live with that for now.

Whats happin is the Tachometer work when I wants to and has only gotten worse.

It kind of bounces and struggles to work then gives up.

Am I right in saying that it's the several capacitors at the back of the cluster?

Might give it a go and pick up the necessary electrolytic capacitors, as It will be a cheaper fix the splashing out $250 plus for a new set up.

Thoughts?

Thanks for any help with this matter!
