Question Installing a relay to the starter

I was wonding if anyone had a write up on how to install a relay to the starter, it seems pretty straight forward but I want to make sure I don't f up my electronic system. I've searched on the topic, but couldn't get exactly what I was looking for. The reason I want to do this is of my "click click" problem. (I've replaced the starter, the ignition switch, cleaned the newer ignition switch, redid my battery relocation the proper way with 0 gauge wire and circuit breaker but still have the click click problem) Any insight would be appreciated.

You should be able to find a couple write ups on trouble shooting this problem, you haven't checked all the components in the wire diagrams. clutch switch and there is a relay that is in the left foot panel, it can be easily checked and or bypassed. find someone who can use a meter and read wiring diagrams before you waste more money. Also on automatic cars the starter runs through a selector switch on the tranny too.

I just added a push button in a concealed place to start my car. I still have to have the key in the ignition and switched to 'on', but then I just push the button to actually engage the starter. Works wonders, have had it this way for over 6 years. An added benefit is...it is an added sort of theft-deterrent. This is very easy to do, I did a write up on it all those years ago.
