Installing Momo Millenium...

Hi !

Just wanted to know if there is something I should be careful about when taking off the stock steering wheel and installing the 320mm Momo Millenium which I got yesterday.

Any ideas on how/where to reposition the cruise control ? I've seen some pics of it installed on the aftermarket wheel, but it looked like *** and taking up too much space on a smaller steering wheel.

Ideas, warnings, suggestions ?

Thanks !

Damn... that was a biatch to install. Well, not really hard, but took me longer then I expected. Getting the airbag out was the easiest part, but then I had to remove that clock spring and cruise control as I got the Momo hub (didnt know about mazdaspeed one until today). And I wanted to keep the horn, so I had to route a line from under the dash into the wheel and make it non-visible All in all, it took me about 3.5hrs. It looks badass I love it.
Fuel and oil pressure gauge sight is now obscured, also above 120kmh and tacho are hard to read... but what the hell... I can now MOVE my legs underneath the wheel and heel-toeing is now possible (i use sidestepping and couldnt do it on stock steering wheel). I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I think they are out of production. There isnt much performance shops for RX7 in Europe. The only ones I heard about are in Greece. I'll ask my Greece friends. I gotta get that MS hub...

I hate the airbag light blinking. There is a way to avoid it with some resistor or something, right ?

From what I heard...the MS hub has a cpl features...
-airbag light won't come on
-turn signals will be reset when the steering wheel is returned to the correct position
-horn is plug 'n play

as for the airbag light, wut most guys here do (as far as i know) is just pull the fuse/bulb for the airbag light...

the only serious drawback i see in that is that light will never work now...even in the case of a malfunction of the passenger air bag, which is of great concern to me, since my passenger is my responsibility...

Hmm... I think my '93 FD came without pass airbag. I think it was introduced in '94 or something. And I rather have that as the blinking light at the tacho.

Yes, I read abou MS hub... it rocks.

Btw. my turn signals are reset with this hub also (but not every time - I need to turn the wheel enough I think to initiate it).
