Installing Corbeau FX1 Seats in an FD

Good question.
If the Pro seat is 1 inch narrower, that is only .5 inch per side - pretty sure that won't fit, just needs less trimming.
You could always get a different style seat where tops of the bolsters go forward more than out.
I've seen Momo seats in an FD that fit without any modification.
Some of the Cobra seats would probably also fit.
Momo would be a lot less expensive than a Cobra.

By the way did you use sliders or non-adjustable fitment?

I didn't have to cut the wings of the seat at all. It fits like a glove. Also, I used Corbeau double locking seat bracket with the FX1 Pro seats. It works great for me and I used my car for autocross and occasional track days. My car has the sunroof and it is a tight fit with the helmet.
