Installed Short-shifter and KG Diff Brace

wow, you machined the brace to reduce weight yet you have your entire hatch area covered with dynomat! Tell me where this makes any sence?

But since you brought it up..
Lets remove some of the brace (and possibly diminish its ability to brace the differential) to save a couple pounds.
Hey the brake rotors are pretty heavy these cars. I bet you could save 5 pounds a piece if you got those machined down. That would be 20 pounds and maybe you could get a small drink machine installed in the hatch. Think of the money you could make at the track events. Just pop the hatch and let them flock to the nice cold drinks on those hot days - $.75 a pop!

I have noticed the same thing about the shifter- there is a noice of gears transmitted to it and you can hear it even more when your hand is on it.
Though I dont think it is limited to the mazdaspeed one. I have been in other cars with the short shifter and I got the same thing with different shift *****. Still not enough to keep me from using it.

yeah, but the weight of all that change you will make will offset the weight you saved on the rotors. i see a neverending cycle here Shawn....
