Recently installed a Power FC and the Banzai harness adapter for auto trannys and have a problem.

1. Full auto doesnt work regardless of shift buttom to shift from manual to auto mode.
2. Shift lever at console position for 1st gear only gives me 2nd gear.
3. Shifting to 2nd gear console position gives me 3rd gear.
4. Shifting to 3rd gear console position yields no change.

Doesn't sound like you installed the harness and PFC correctly, remove both and follow the instructions. Auto FD ECU Harness Adapter Installation How To

Pay close attention to the plugs with the cable ties, these connect to the stock ECU only.

 

I hooked it up exactly as pictured and after it didnt work, pulled all the connections off and re-did them. Still no go.

Remove the PFC and adapter, verify proper shifting. The automatic trans ECU is responsible for shifting function, you did leave it installed in the car? The PFC and adapter have nothing to do with the shifting , only engine operation. The stock ECU and auto trans ECU are left functioning like stock. So potentially one of your connectors is not plugged in all the way, or is plugged in to the wrong ECU.
