I reinstalled my PFC after cutting the four wires on the ECU plugs as instructions dictate with my new PFC. I fired it back up..and the car smokes very bad (thick white) at idle and is running very rich as I get teary eyed from the fumes.

I originally installed it without cutting the wires and it smokes a little (not near as bad) but was running rich as I got teary eyed from the fumes.

Can anyone suggest what is going on? No idiots lights are on and no sensors are coming up bad on the PFC.

 

dude once i took some pvc and make smoked some phat weed. it was so tight i wathed the teletubies and it gave me a chuby over the purple one. u know whats his name tinki winky or something, he has a purse and is hot.
so don't use pvc or you get smoke.

 

when i got my ecu back from xs a few months ago i had nasty smoke too...but the car also idled like **** and wouldnt run well...shook...rumbled etc..

turned out it was on the wrong PIM setting. did you change any of the settings?

My car idles fine (that is if the AC isn't on)..its just all that smoke.

I was going to change the PIM voltage, and when I went to set it, as soon as I took it off normal and cycled thru all 4 options, it idled like crap. So..I put it back to normal and idled smooth again.
