installed a new boost gauge tonight...

So, installed a new boost gauge tonight...I struggle to get to 6 on primary, then i transition to 5, then hit max of 7 or 8 on secondary...boost leak much? Operating temp, my vac at idle is 8-10 psi...yikes...after I have been driving at say 3k rpms cruising...as soon as I go to neutral to coast, rpms will idle at 2k until i tap the gas, then they will go to about 1300...once in awhile, they will come down to 950...water temps stay at 180F, and oil temps are 200F. I NEED to find time to do this compression test so i can rule that out or in. If compression is good, then i know it is a vacuum leak the size of dallas.

if you have time and patience i would suggest replacing all your vac lines and make sure they are all in the right locations, and especially check the pills.
by the way where do you live in nebraska?

Search for "boost pills". Yes, the UIM needs removed.

Supra, I'd say you probably have a punchy boost leak.

I am in Omaha. Okay, I know there are the 2 lines for the actuators at the front turbo....do both of those lines contain a pill? I replaced one of my lines and replaced it with an MBC. I would rather get rid of that and get the pills back where they are supposed to be.
