Installed Enkei RP01's (pics) :)

Finally got a set of gunmetal 17" Enkei RP01 wheels that I wanted for so long. They are very rare in Europe. Fronts are 8x17 ET38 with 235/40/17, rears 9x17 ET38with 255/40/17. Tyres are awesome Bridgestone RE540's, at $380 per rear tyre and $320 per front tyre they're ugh... expensive

Here are some pics from the trackday this past Sunday:

With Eibachs, these wheels/tyres and good alignment I managed to drop more then 2.5seconds off my previous best time

The wheels look great......but who's that blonde sitting in the passenger seat in the first pic?

Lol... I knew I shouldn't have posted that pic - it distracts attention from the wheels

Its the same girl as in my avatar. My girlfriend. In that pic we jumped out (out of track) for a coffe break and some food

Hahaha I'm just messing with ya

But seriously though the wheels look really good. I love the color you went with to go on the red car, it looks really race-inspired and I love it.

Glad to see you actually use the car also!!!

Very nice FD and keep us updated

Yep, think I agree with SurroundedBySe7ens: I like the seat-cover on your passenger seat a lot more than the wheels.

Seriously though, rims look real good. You guys don't have a requirement to run track events with the windows down?

Well, I'm still debating with myself whether to get them powdercoated in silver or white.
What is everyone elses opinion ?

Sometimes I like it, sometimes I think brighter color would be nicer, although like it is now looks very exotic

NO! Leave them black. White is too formal and silver is okay I guess, but the car looks awesome.

I agree about that seat cover though, funny I was going to mention her before the rims too lol. Good going...

I've had the same exact rims in silver for a while now. They do look good on the FD.

Thanks :-)

We rent a track and set our own rules. No requirements, everyone takes care of himself. Stupid, dangerous ? Maybe, but without incidents so far (hope it stays this way).

Wheels are not black, but a darker shade of gunmetal
They're just dirty from brake dust on the pics.

Leave'm that color....they look good. I just dont dig the chin spoiler thats red...kinda offsets the color scheme on the 7 a bit. I'd go back to black on it if ya could.

I like the wheels a lot. I kinda agree though that a black lip would look great with the black wheels.

Thumbs up

Looks great (as well as a lot of fun)!

It still blows my mind seeing you guys tracking without helmets.

You know how we do tracdays - we rent a track and we do what we want. %50 of drivers are drifters anyway

Haha... but check out the guy on the bike behind me.
What was interesting was the fact that there was no way he could lap faster then me. Later in the pits he came over and we talked a bit - he was REALLY SURPRISED how well I was doing on the straights (only ran 10psi) not to mention the corners where he really got left behind. Only portion of track where he was superior was at braking after long straights.

We ran equal laptimes for 3-4 laps, then I let him pass and followed at a distance and it was the same.

RX7 can't loose lol

Anyone can tell what kind of bike it is ?

Enkie RP01 are rarely than you think as they stopped making them about two years ago. They were replaced by the RP02s.

Here is one of my 9X17s that were custom refinished.
