Install ? on power-steering cooler for Greddy FMIC...

Does anyone have any tips or pictures of this? The instructions suck. I looked long and hard at it yesterday and couldn't figure it out. Thanks.

Thanks, but I've been to that site many times. It doesn't say anything about the power steering cooler lines. Only that he never figured it out.

There is no power steering cooler, I think your mistaken for the oil cooler possibly? Or the AC condenser. Maybe you could show us what your power steering cooler looks like....

The power steering cooler is the hard line theat runs in front of the ac condenser. It makes two 180 degree bends before it goes to the other side of the car. Greddy packages a new hard line and some brackets. The stock lines need to be replaced because its in the way of the intercooler piping.

Doesn't the pictures of the radiator (from underneath) show the PS cooling line running near the bottom of his radiator?

On the picture of the passenger side radiator bottom bracket you can see the line running right behind the bracket. From that picture looks like he still has the stock hard line hooked up to the rubber hose

I just tweaked the factory cooler tubing and got it to fit...the replacement one that comes in the kit is a joke IMO. I can dig out my factory cooler line and take a pic of it for ya (FD is in pieces right now)...its been so long since I put in my FMIC that I cant remember exactly how I modified it

I got the Greddy replacement to fit, but it doesn't leave much slack in the stock rubber lines. To make matters worse the cooler hangs down at about the height of the stock sway bar. Recently I noticed mine has been pinched nearly flat from god knows what =p

The passenger side hose was my main concern because it looks as if the hose must be tuned 180 degrees to fit on the Greddy hard pipe. I also had no idea which bracket on the car the instructions tell you to bend. I think the brackets that hold the cooler up bolt to the same place as the undertray. Anyway, I haven't been able to work on it this week, but I'll be tackling it the weekend.

Ok, I did my install.. there is no reason to replace teh stock line.. the fmic fits between the piping if you push the line up a lil bit to get the ic in..
