Install new pilot bearing?

I am installing a reman engine and i was wondering if I should install a new pilot bearing that came with the ACT clutch i bought. is it nessicary?

How many miles on your tranny, its usually a good idea. At least I need to , since mine is on its way out.

Speaking from experience... I would change it. At the very least, make sure there's grease in it and that the seal is good!!! You can also get an idea of the bearing's condition by inspecting the input shaft for wear.

The pilot bearing is located engine side in the E shaft isn't it? i got my motor from malloy mazda and installng it now so both the enigne and tranny are out of the car. Remans reuse the old pilot bearing?
