I have heard bad things regarding remote starters on manual transmission cars. Have any of you? I thought it was weird when a friend told me that I shouldn't get one because I have a manual transmission.

to answer your question, don't get either one of them, if you want something to protect your car, get lojak and lock your doors. if a theif wants your car, no alarm will stop him. as for the turbo timer, i have one and never use it.......don't get it! spend your money on something else

[ drive the car easy for the last two minutes before you reach your destination. A turbo timer is a waste of time, space, and money![/QUOTE] buy yourself a new pair of jeans with the money you save!

that sucks, i guess south florida does. my point was no alarm will protect your car. it will only scare away young kids/in-eperianced theifs from breaking into your car. save your money or use it for some reliability mods

Dont park your car when you think its going to be stolen, or find other transportation. Its easy to have alot of money invested in our cars, so why leave it in volunerable areas when you need an alarm?

Guys this is very simple. I don't see why there is such a big argument over this.
If your on boost lot's/working your engine hard and like to just park and get out then get the Turbo Timer. Is it stupied? Absolutly not. I don't think everyone knows the actual function of a turbo timer and what it prevents.
So.. your scared of people seeing a running car and thinking it will be easy to break into. Well get an alarm and program it like some of the people above have. Have it armed while the turbo timer is working.

Turbo timers are good when you have to manually get out of your car and unlock the garage door (apt.).

You guys can rag on the tt's as much as you want. I like mine...I don't like having to think about taking it easy everytime I know I am going to stop the car or sitting in it for a bit before I shut down...I drive the crap out of my car, stop immediately, get out, lock it and walk away....takes care of itself. I'll pay $50 for that convenience.
