inner fender / liner (front) with widebody kit
I bought a widebody (burnout) car as a project, and i am at the point where i need to start figuring out the front inner fenders / liners area.
My question is:
Can i make the stock fender liner work with some modification (ie, maybe doing a wide inner lip with aluminum or plastic, and riveting that to the fiberglass fender). then attaching the stock fender liner to that?
Anyone have pictures of how they approached this?
thanks!

The only thing I have seen (I am no expert) is guys making new aluminum inner fenders in place of the OEM ones. Saw this about a month ago and the guy took a sheet of aluminum and cut it and formed to shape.
It really depends on what your goals are with the fender liner. If you just want to cover the opening to the engine bay, you can trim the stock fender liner. Then use either rivnuts, zip ties or what have you to attach it. If you want a full liner to extend all the way to the widebody you will need to fab up something.
i need a fender liner... i live on a gravel lane unfortunately, and when i'd get up to speed the stones will fly out of the tire tread, and i dont want that cracking the fiberglass fenders, so i definitely need a liner.
