Ok...well i finally got to where I was going. Boy this was fun. Anyway, what do yout think that is leaking? The other injector (notshown) is clean as can be, but this one....well see for youself...



Now...do you think its the injector itself or is the FPD "drippin" down on the injector...

Im really starting to hate this ****......

I could be wrong...but if you are referring to the brown thing with a semi brown tube going to it, I think that's your oil injector..

Yeah, I don't see any leaks around your injectors or your FPD. Your oil injector looks a little dirty, though... I'd replace your FPD while you're in there just as preventive maintenance.

Dude,
There is an easy way to test this. Just go to the little diagnostic box on the drivers side of the engine compartment. With the car off just take a piece of wire and "jump" the terminal labeled F/P (this is the fuel pump) to ground. Then go into the car and turn the key to the on position. This will turn on the fuel pump. Now you can check for the leak in a real world situation!

ok..now im confused.. If thats not an Fuel injector what is it. Where the hell are my injectors then?



And thanks for the idea M_Snoby. I guess I have no alternative then to do that. However Most of my fuel lines (i think) came out with the solenoid rack, the bigger ones anyway. So I dont think that any pressure will be built up... ::shrug::

that is your oil injector..if you go about an inch up from where you wrote "fuel pulsation"...that is your fuel injectors....

20-1800-N3A2 here's the number from Mazdatrix...doesn't look right though, I thought the N3A2 should be in the front for all the Mazda part numbers....

and thats just your primary set of fuel injectors. Theres two secondaries off to the side closer to the lower intake manifold

fuel pulsation dampener- n3a2-180-20
they will tell you to buy the o-ring with it, but i did and mine came with one already attatched. if you buy one and it doesnt come with the o-ring, let me know. i have an extra.

oh yeah guys... while the big picture is up there, i was wondering: is there any o-ring or gasket seal that goes between the oil injector metal ring and the engine block? and when you are putting it back in, is it necessary to line up the nipple on the ring with one of the holes on the bolt? thanks in advance.
