You know what dude? I take it your 16 then right? still in school? I strongly suggest that unless you have time to get a fulltime job, have gobs and gobs of money and a bit of knowlege of how to work on some parts of the car yourself that you don't get the car. It is very expensive to maintain it. Insurance alone for me is about $300/month! But I'm 18 with 2 tickets on my record, which will go away next year and I'll get good drivers discount too. I just got one and I just found out my turbos are supposedly bad (bye bye $3100) which I can't replace right now due to some bills, I should be able to fix it in about 2 months. I would love to see another person get an FD and be happy, but at the same time I don't want to see someone get shot down with money problems. Reliability wise, I use my car as a daily driver, but I also have a mustang that I can use if it's in the shop, which it is right now. You HAVE to keep up on maintenance. Some reliability mods would be a downpipe, bigger radiator, bigger intercooler, silicone vacuum hoses, ignition upgrade (plugs and wires and all that), pipe upgrade (ALL hoses), an aluminum Air Seperation Tank, turbo timer, get a boost gauge, and a better temp gauge, and of course anything else I missed. Those would be good first starts. All cost quit a bit of money and need to be done at some point. After all that (doesn't have to be done, do whatever you want) then you could go ahead and start upgrading the turbos fuel system and things like that. If you have tons of money, and don't care if you spend all of it on the car, then dude get the FD and have fun with it, just don't hurt yourself.

not really, as long as you keep up on maintenance and treat the car right, then the car will treat you right. But if you do get one put some pics up here when you do and also learn to drive and harnest the power of the FD first. Trust me that thing has power up the yin-yang! It'll beat a Mustang GT (easily) and smoke a Z28. Only thing you'll really have trouble with (that's in the same clas, viper and vetter, cars like that aren't in same class that I consider) is the camaro SS. But drop the downpipe on and exhaust and intake just to be safe and you should be able to take him, unless he's got mods done to his...hehe. Gotta love the rotary!
