Anyone have any more info or pictures on this rear cargo strap? I've only seen a couple and have never seen one installed. Were they a dealer option or something?

 

It was a Japanese dealer option. I had one at one point and I believe some of the mounting points weren't there on US cars. Not really sure how terribly useful it is either.

so was it used to say stray things DOWN to the rear trunk floor? I'm having a hard time picturing what those would even do. I've also seen the cargo nets that go over the floor but again, idk how useful they would be.
