Info on engines

Does anyone know where I can get rebuilt motors without a core exchange? I know Malloy does but only a reman. I'm looking for rebuilds that offer a mild streetport.

Call around and talk to the rebuilders (Atkins, Pineapple, Pettit, Rotary Resurrection, Gotham Racing, RX7.com, RX7Store.net, Banzia-Racing, etc). Most of them will probably have you purchase a reman or blown engine, then they will rebuild it to your specs. Mazdatrix does an engine from all new parts for about $8000.

I am on a tight budget. Looks like I might have to go with a jspec motor. Just didn't want to take the risk of the motor breaking after a few miles.

If you don't need engine components, just get a Mazda reman. If you have a complete empty shell (i.e. no engine components, then go for a used JDM motor).
