I have yet to see any Canadian registered JDMs selling for $3-6K that are not classified as 'project'.

SonicFD has the right idea.... you really really want RHD, buy a whole interior and go that route... once you get your interior down to the metal, it does not take much to convert it over, other then the parts needed... steering rack etc... it will be cheaper and less PITA then trying to import one... it can be done, but as stated, it seems to be more trouble then its worth...

I am considering switching mine to LHD for few reasons, one being huge insurance benefits, currently if I want fire theft or vandalism on my car, the deductible will be in the $5000 range...

and I want to get rid of my completely useless rear seats and get bins, but that's me....

Clearly the US is not Canada - sorry that your import regulations have made you hate life so much
We have nothing to hate, your country on the other hand is Japan's scrapyard. We just keep the junk and retards out. The people who SERIOUSLY want the JDM Stuff have resources, money, and the know-how to get it already. They don't need to post on a forum to "ask". Oh, and RHD Rx7s get to have the fun of worrying about down-pipe clearance when running bigger turbos. The US Spec Rx7s don't.

ouch... that kinda hurts... it is true though, so many Japanese imports up here are ****... I know of 4-5 FD's in my "local" area that the owners had no idea what they got themselves into, then the engine blows, and they sell it for next to nothing....

I'm fine with that though, It take me all of 2 1/2 minutes to change all my spark plugs, and no swearing or cursing is involved

I fit a 4" downpipe on my RHD FD. Of course, my motor isn't exactly the same lol. I like the RHD, and honestly I didn't do it for the "JDM Tyte" appeal, girls, or any of that other BS. I found a great deal on mine, and wanted a track car that was different from the norm. Yes, having the steering column on the exhaust side of the engine does lend itself to tighter clearances, but it's not the end of the world.

The people who complain about going through drive thru's, seriously? I don't eat fast food very often, and I wouldn't ever do it in my clean car. I've also not had any problems with police. There is nothing illegal about having a RHD car specifically due to the steering wheel location. I wouldn't claim we keep the junk and retards out of America. Take a look around and you'll find plenty of examples of both in either country.

To be quite honest the people I know would be WTF did you get a car like that? stupid...

Sorry I'm not an attetion *****, I do not relish on people's attention especially when 99% of the time it is men that are doing it. But hey if you enjoy that, more power to you. Me I don't appreciate the attention and actually I don't like the fact that people (men) film or take pictures, when I'm out and about. I enjoyed it much more pre FnF era when hardly ANYONE knew what an FD was... Now its a fan boy magnet. yay

lol... Come on down here with your RHD FD we'll stick some local plates on and well see how long it takes for a cop to pull you over and impound your ****. kanuck cops != USA cops.

Why? **** it you'd be mad tyte at the drive thru and impress all the boys!! cuz we know the girls don't give an f.

maybe? ya think
Did I once say that I knew a bout the the hurdles you go through in the states? I was merely commenting on how ridiculous your answer to the OP was. Have you owned a RHD RX7 car, have you changed gears in a RHD RX7 car, have you ran in to any police with a RHD RX7 car, have you gone through a drive through, or had anyone make "tyte" comments to you? Please share your first hand experience since you are so knowledgeable on the subject.

"Come on down here with your RHD FD we'll stick some local plates on" Hold your breath, I am on my way right now
