I'm I being optimistic?

I noticed that there is a fuel leak recall on my 1993 RX-7. the fuel pulse regulator ruptured starting an engine fire a week ago. is it a safety recall. are they liable? or am I screwed?

You are screwed unless you can prove that the owner of the car at the time of the recall never received notification. Then you probably would also have to prove that all subsequent owners never heard of any of these problems and did not verify what are had been done to the car.

Even if the FPD was changed, it has been know since FC days as a source of failure on high mileage cars, and has been mention on the forum and list.
