Be very carefull with synthetic oil. I used it on my last engine, and it ALWAYS leaked. It bled from everywhere it could. It was hell. I'm using regular oil now, and there isn't a drop coming from anywhere after 20,000miles.

My car runs cooler, Rev's smoother and faster, and idles better. Don't have to tell me twice. From now on, its Mobil 1 or Royal Purple or nothing at all.

I say stop the madness, there is no proof that using Mobil1 in the FD will extend the life of the motor. Its just a wast of money there are many high mileage FD with 80-100K that have never run synthetic oil ever without any problem so why switch?Replaced Dino juice every 2K or less is over kill for the13BREW.

Well now you've heard different, and I've actually done it... after 102,000 miles of fossil oil. Mixing syn and fossil is perfectly fine. In fact, that is what you get when don't buy a "full synthetic". Royal Purple is not a full synthetic (aka "sythetic blend") and it is excellent motor oil.

In medieval times they used to use leeches to bleed people. We know better now. The same applies to the "evils" of mixing synthetic and oil. As Jonski said, there are blends on the marketplace.

If the FD were more reliable and the motors failed from commom wear and tear I could see using synthetic oil, but this is not the case in general.More often the o-rings will fail or a lean condition will damage the motor so what type of oil you use does not make a differance.90% of the driving done by most can be handled by Dino juice replaced 2K or less again overkill, synthetics are the best hands down but in this application there is no real long term benefit.Better to spend youre cash on a upgraded cooling system.
