I'm buying an RX-7?

hi ive currently got a Mitsubishi GTO and its just been written off by another driver, was looking into getting a Mazda RX-7 gen 3 but ive had a few problems with modifying my GTO, 1 of them was trying to derestrict it but being a hybrid ecu made that a royal pain, could you please give me some advice on what to look out for when buying an rx7 and how simple/difficult are they to derestrict?

Thanx

By derestrict, do you mean open up the intake and exhaust to flow better? An aftermarket ECU such as a Power FC is recommeded depending on how much you increase the flow in and out of the motor, i.e. an open cat-less exhaust.

It's pretty easy to remove the speed limiter, please use the search function as it has been discussed many times.

Basic buying questions can all be answered by reading the FAQ thread. Thanks.

Those restrictions are removed once u upgrade ur ECU to a PowerFC or Petit, etc.. You can also find Fuel Cut Defencers on ebay. there are always someone selling ones from Knightsports, HKS, or Greddy. they're just plug and play to ur stock harness
