im bummed!!!!

went ahead and did the silicon hose job using hose techniques. well all went pretty well with the install and it wasnt as bad as many make it out to be. there is plenty of people to get info from and many sites. it took me a week (three days was waiting for parts from mazda) to do the complete job with a koyo install which was also way easier than everyone made that seem. one quick word on the koyo, if you are trying to decide on the koyo vs. fluidyne, get the koyo. the install took me 10 minutes(all the other stuff was out of the way from the hose job). back to the main topic. after all the hard work its running a fraction better than what it was. at first i was getting full boost and then some in first(14lbs which is only when i go to check it. i never take it past 8 on the street cause i dont want to blow the motor) and second was nothing. now first is the same and second has about 6lbs of boost. i still get one problem that is the same, when i switch at higher RPM's(upshift) i get almost no boost in the next gear and a weird whining when i let off the gas. looks like my problem is deeper. its going to ricks rotary so he can play with it. im tired of dealing with it right now. i went this long without kicking the **** out of my car, im not going to start. thanks for listening guys.

Did you buy the RX7 specific kit from Hose Techniques or did you just buy hose by the foot. I am going to take the plunge and try to save $400 by doing my own hose job. Just wondering if the kit is complete and there wasnt a bunch of waste because it seems like they give you alot of stuff you may not need, let me know, thanks,

Did you make sure you got the check valves facing the proper direction? You also may have a damaged UIM gasket. I would save yourself the money and check these first. That is probably where you are going to find your Gremlin. The Hose techniques kit does have extra hose when you are done with the "Rats nest" but extra never hurts.I recomend that everyone learns how to do this job on their cars. It is going to be a necessity to every Fd at some point in it's life. It's really not hard either just make sure you cut and twist the old ones off and not to yank on them or you will be replacing solinoids. Email me suprfast if you need/want further help.

all check valves put on the same way i removed them. as for the kit its the FD kit. i had plenty left over, which is good cause the stsuff does tear easy. all the gaskets are brand spanken new. i didnt trust the old ones so i went all out.
