Question Ignition Coil Question

Im thinking about getting the jacobs fire control 1000 and c4 coil ignition system.. However I am not sure exactly how to set it up.

Looking at my wiring diagram, the trailing each have one coil per spark plug, and the leading coil has two outputs.. so that means I need 4 replacement coils? which would also mean I need 4 of the jacobs fire control systems (from what I can tell they only have hookups from one coil..

Is anyone else running something similar and can help guide me a bit. Thanks

I am running four Jacobs C4 coils with an AEM 4 channel Ing amp .It has been in there for several years .The first amps were junk as everyone knows then they redesigned the amp and I did the bata testing for them. The new units should be ready to sell .My car runs poorly with out it . The coils are lasting with no problems as well . The leading trigger wire goes to two inputs on one cap with each channel out to one coil . Each trailing trigger wire goes to one channel on the other cap with a coil on each output . So I power four coils .

Where the heck did you mount 4 of those coils? Seems like I will have to find a better amp because the jacobs only has one output.

So you run a single AEM 4 channel that pumps out to those 4 coils.. The one I found (AEM ™ 4 Channel C2DI Ignition Module) only looks to have two outputs.. even though it says four channel (to be honest I dont really know what that means, as I am clueless when it comes to electrical)

The Aem installation instructions are in my hand as I type ,no guessing .four channel c2d ignition system . The unit has 4 trigger wires input white green violet yellow .The outputs go to the coils brown orange gray blue .Then each cap has a ground one tan and the other pink .I use one cap with pink ground for the trailing coils .The other cap with the tan ground goes to the two leading coils the output wires brown and blue each go to a leading coil .Yellow and white are tied to the leading trigger . The Mazda ignitor wires are lead trigger =GB ,, trailing 1 =GR,, trailing 2 = GW . The trailing coils # 1 output is orange # 2 output is gray, both with pink ground .The coils are mounted on a ,polished as to be expected , plate near and below the end of the brake MC The trailing coils are on top of the plate and the leading colis are mounted below the plate .No plug wire crosses another and the longest plug wire is about seven inches long . Msd wire at 40 ohms per foot . It is like having four welders in there .
