If you are thinking of getting the Borla XR1
If you are thinking of getting the Borla XR1
I just ordered the 16 inch XR1 "race" muffler from Summit racing for $161.99 + $7.99 for shipping -
From what I've seen, the race is usually $250+.
The race version is more quiet than the sportsman.
I called Borla to make sure about this and they also checked the summit part number and verified the muffler. They were pretty surprised at the price as well.
anyway, i ordered the last one, but they did say they would be back in stock in about 2 weeks and the price would remain the same.
Went ahead and ordered the midpipe as well, and as soon as i get it all welded together, i can get rid of my clogged main cat and re-dyno the car for some much better numbers (hopefully!)

When I got mine, I slipped it over the end of my straight pipe; I was so amazed that I grabbed my video camera, Hope to post the video.. It was amazing. With the main cat in place, the car was definately streetable. After the borla was installed, I swapped the cat for a midpipe, the car has a tendancy to drone a bit, but was much quieter under 3k. Not sure if I will try 2 or not.
