I sold mY RX-7 a while ago. @ first I missed it and thought about buying another one..

After 3 months of driving a Lexus IS300 I decided I wanted something else.

I bought a BMW M coupe and all I can say is I am soo damn happy with the car! Does everything to a T of experties! Brakes are phenominal! Power is linear and super smooth. Handling is there once I learned how to hang the *** end out!

Things I miss?
Enough power to spin the tires @ the top of the rev range and the R12 ac that was soo damn cold! I loved that!

How does your FD replacement fair in comparison ?

:: shivers :: ah BMW's yes I liked them a lot for a long time until my friend got one then I started disliking them, always talking about how great looking it is and how its so much better than other cars and crap. UHG how much I just wanted to deck him. But anyway yeah I've heard a lot about people with great fast cars that replace them eventually with BMW's and everyone loves them. They are great cars, I think if my friend never got one then yes I would eventually replace it with that. Now however, eh even though I'd be losing a ton of power the Mazdaspeed protege' is kinda cool, but maybe a 350z or rx-8 when they once again realize hmmm turbos.....rotary....YES

I went from an M Roadster to my RX-7 and I am very happy with the decision. The M was very nice but the 7 is just plane dangerous when I am behind the wheel.

Went from a 94 FD to an '02 Honda F4i and a beater I'm probably coming back to the FD upon graduation, but this time w/o selling a toy to get a new one

Well, I know someone from Columbus who owned an FD. He traded it for a Corvette convertable. He then (within 6 months) traded the Corvette in for a Viper. He wrecked the Viper (dont know details) and now he is looking at getting another 3rd gen.

To me, that really says something when an owner has owned very exotic, fast and pricey cars and goes back to an FD.

thining about replacing the FD with an FC vert and a cheap, beater bike. I think I'll miss it.

I'll probably buy another FD after graduation unless I have enough for an elise.

Hah, I raced him on my bike a few weeks before he wrecked it. Let's say he's lucky to be alive, and he'll tell you that. He did come back to the 7 though. Nocab's car helped inspire him to return perhaps, as it does me.

I used to have a few Turbo IIs and almost bought an FD in 93 new. Wish I had... I drive a BMW 325is with some upgrades and damn I miss driving RX7s. There is just nothing else like the RX7 - the incredible steering, the precise handling, the ease with which you can steer with the accelerator, the brakes, the sound of the rotary revving and the turbo spooling, and the blow off valve doing its job....

Every spring I check prices and occasionally go check one out, but I just don't have the expendable cash for an FD plus maintenance. Plus I live in the city so you really don't want to have that car sitting on the streets getting bumped.

I can't wait till I finally satiate my lust for an FD...

I owned a 96 Integra and was T-boned by a Grand Cherokee and swore I was down with low center of gravity. So I bought a Tundra and of course with a truck you have to have toys to go in the back, Right? I picked up an 80cc shifter cart and got hooked on that dam drug, low center of gravity, again. Three years later I found my self in a $20k Montigo Blue all stock R....X.....7 and will NEVER part with it. She has everything my Integra had and more. Oh, mind you I bought the Machine of some old timer that couldn’t handle the rough ride N E more for $13k well under the true value of this beautiful peace of metal.

I sold my 94' BB touring after blowing the engine. Went shopping for NSX, Supra TT, and others. Then got myself a nice low mileage CYM and been in love again ever since... happliy ever after.

I sold my FD for an FC. I had it for over 2 years and put a lot of time and money into it. I miss my car sometimes but I'm glad that I sold it. These cars can get to be a real expensive hobby. I'm much happier being debt free then owning an FD. I'd like to own another one for a daily driver, but it won't be soon.
