Idler/crank/front pulley unorthodox help
So i have a Front Pulley unorthodox pulley on an automatic FD. I need to swap it to a 5speed FD. I know about the Torrington thrust bearings problem when doing the change on the 5speed, and im suppose to stick a wood piece and force the flywheel towards the engine. But for the automatic is there anything i should do before pulling of the pulley.
Some info
Both are 1993s
Both are engine in the car
Also a nice write up on how to do a swap/change for the front pulley would be great.
Any info would be nice.

So are you saying you just want to take the pulley off one car and put it on another?
Have you considered just buying another main pulley that doesn't require all that work? Something like the fighters garage one that doesn't require loosening the main front bolt.
Seems like a lot of work to swap out a pulley is all I'm saying (if I read your post correctly, which at 2am has a high probability of fail)
