idleing at about 2000rpm, why???
OK
I put my polished stuff back into the bay the other day , UIM, plumbing etc etc.....
Now I remember when I was working around my ( stock ) turbos I had to move the throttle cable out of the way, could the reason my car idles at 2000rpm ( sumtimes) be something to do with the cable being bent or kinked or sumthing? because when I put my foot beneath the accelerator pedal and pull up ( opposite) the idle goes back down to normal 800rpm but returns to 2000 as soon as I push back down on the pedal................HELP!!!
p.s I have a PFC and YES the 'self learning' idle procedure has been done.

can you take a picture of how your cable is run, there should be two brackets on the uim that the cable passes through. Sounds like you're getting slack somewhere and a missing bracket could be one cause IMO.
