Idle and vacuum

I've been doing a lot of searching about vacuum because my FD at idle is at 10-12 In. Hg. Idle RPM is ~900, which differs from just about every post/thread I saw. I purchased this car from a guy who bought it from a dealership already modded, so aside from what I can see externally, I don't know what was done internally, if anything (rebuilt/ported/etc). So I posted a few videos to get feedback from you guys. Does my exhaust sound normal/ported/? How about vacuum/revs? It's running a PFC, Greddy VMIC, 3" DP, 3" all the way to exhaust, and Greddy Intake setup. It runs strong, boosts normal, doesn't smoke or leak any oil/coolant. Thanks in advance!

Really before ever purchasing an FD it is a good idea to have it compression tested. Have you done this? If so, what were the numbers? If not, I would do that just so you know the health of the motor. The vac is a little low. Make sure the hose to the boost gauge has no holes as well as any of your couplers.

One thing that concerns me a bit is you have straight 3" pipe with no boost controller and are on the stock twins. If the wastegate has not been properly modified (and sometimes even after) boost creep can be a issue of concern. Do a search on here, there are hundreds of threads on the subject, to find out more.

Your IC looks to be more like a coolcharge II SMIC than a greddy vmic. I could be wrong but I don't think greddy ever made a vmic for the RX7. And that does not look like a greddy intake either. It escapes me who makes that setup. Not saying what you have is bad, actually your IC and intake setup is very nice and looks to be very good quality.

before you worry about this anymore just to a compression test and go from there

poorly adjusted idle on the PFC unless it's got a vacuum leak or not pulling good compression. My friend's car was idling high with vacuum on the 12.5-13 in Hg. range until we adjusted the throttlebody and the PFC to drop the idle down lower.

^ yeah I started thinking about that later too... Sorry I did not think of it earlier.

OP-Check out threads on here on idle adjustment. Maybe someone messed with the screws on the TB. Also make sure the TPS is in correct ranges. BUT first thing is first, get a compression test.
