Exclamation idle speed control solinoid valve

i have been trying to figure out why i have idle problems when i began reading the workshop manual i saw the "isc" valve and what the symptoms were when i went to check mine it isn't there and has a blockoff plate there is this common? I bought the car and the guy before me had done a non- sequential conversion he has done a pretty halfassed job on the conversion i need to know if removing this part is a common thing when going to a single turbo and how essential it is i plan to have a single turbo in it by april

Any help would be appretiated

I don't know the answer immediately, but a search for IACV should ring some good info. I do know that many people block it off. Most idle problems seem to be due to a vacuum leak or bad adjustment rather than this solenoid.

I wouldn't say a LOT of people block this off....removing the ISC requires careful tuning of the PFC (or other standalone) to deal with the resultant idle issues.

A lot of people on here remove things in the name of simplification that reduce drivability. Seems pretty damn dumb to me, but apparently I'm in the minority.
