Idle problem with A/C on
Ok. I searched and it seems like there are a lot of problems with A/C and idle. However they seem to drop the idle.
my mods are just downpipe, K&N filter, removed A/C and P/S.
When I use the common A/C on with blower at 3 to turn on fans the idle raises to 1800-2200. If I stop at a light the idle will hang at 1800-2200 for about 5 seconds and then drop to normal idle (~800-1100). If I turn of the A/C while it is idling high, the idle immediately drops to normal. The car runs fine besides this problem.
Thanks,
Steve

If you removed the a/c and you push the a/c button the ECU tries to compensate for the extra load which actually isn't there. The stock ECU isn't smart enough to know that you removed the a/c compressor so I don't know how you can get around that problem other than not pushing the a/c button. With a PFC you can adjust the idle for the a/c to get around that. One option may be to wire in a switch to turn the fans on manually if you have that bad of a cooling problem.

Ok, I didn't know if it was just a side effect of removing the A/C or not. I don't have a bad cooling problem I just like to cool it down that extra bit when I'm on low speed roads getting ready to park
Thanks

I don't know if this would work or not but try resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery for atleast 15 minutes. There may be a few other things to do and I'll let you search or somebody else chime in on what that takes. After resetting, the ecu can usually learn small amounts of new info. I dont know how else to say that, sorry.
