Idle Problem?
Hi, I am trying to find out a bit about the Idle problem i have with the Seven.
It has a Power Fc fitted with all the normal mods, recently the Air pump has been removed and the Idle does not like staying in one place.
You can get the car red hot and set it to 800rpm then its happy untill the next time you drive it and the revs will drop to somthing like 400rpm.
I know the method of seting the Idle with the wire trick but i cant help thinking its got somthing to do with the Lack of air pump? or could it be somthing like the Inlet temp sensor?
The engine is not old and has very good compresion which i would have thougt would help if anything?
Thanks.

maybe leaking vac. hose? check your MAP sensor hose tight, I know when I had the same issue, my map hose was loose and the sensor was reading faulty. Just a thought.
