Idle issues and drivability? NAH...
OK im an idiot. (summary at bottom)
I have been having hot start issues and a terrible idle that I could only get partially fixed using the datalogit and commander to take out fuel in certain cells. Also my drivability sucked *** with constant bucking at light throttle and decel. I had backfiring and popping on decel. I diagnosed these problems as a result of too much fuel all over. I went through everything that could affect this problem. Everything seemed to check out fine. I was to the point of selling her or lighting her on fire.
When I took everything off of my old motor I left one vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator so I wouldnt lose it. well aparently I connected the other end of that line to the nipple on the lower intake manifold. When I reinstalled everything on my new motor I completely disregarded the fuel pressure regulator solenoid. The vacuum line was supposed to go from the FPR to the FPR Solenoid to the nipple on the LIM. I just had it run straight from the LIM to the FPR. DOH!!!!!
In short: Car ran like **** because the FPR solenoid was bypasses by accident.
I hope this helps someone. and I am now the happiest person in the world.
AND of course I want to thank all the forum members who helped me with my problem.
Thanks.
