Question Ideal Compression Numbers for a 3mm Sealed/Ported Motor...

Hi,

Just a quick question. I've read that motors with 3mm Apex seals and porting have different "ideal" compression numbers. Is this true and if so what should the numbers be for a strong/healty ported 3mm sealed motor? Just wondering...

Thanks in Advance,
Rizwan

New or used housings? That will make a much bigger difference than the 3mm seals.

a healthy, recently rebuilt engine should be above 110psi plus or minus ~5psi depending on the housings and seals. fwiw, i think brand NEW engines (with new housings and stock 2mm seals) are supposed to be above 120psi

also, porting isnt going to affect the compression numbers unless it's for some reason ported into the compression stroke
