IACV not working after haltech elite 1500 installed
Alright so before I go on..
it’s a 1993 Mazda rx7 with the original 13b in it..
the IACV was working before the install of the haltech elite 1500..
Mods before hand..
it did have a non sequential delete and the rats nest was deleted.. but even after this the IACv was working, I know this because I accidentally unplugged the IACV and the car wouldn’t idle and later found the plug was disconnected..
now the car was tuned by Ryan from RGHTbraindesign and he noticed the iacv was not popping up so we left it alone..
now that the car runs awesome it would be nice to have the IACV working..
I was wondering if anyone else ran into this issue when installing there haltech elite 1500?
much help is appreciated..

the IAC valve is assigned to IGN 2 output as per standard. is it still on there?
if not it is easy to reassign the idle control valve, click on the wiring tab and assign the output to IGN 2.
you can also try changing the frequency that it outputs, i think the stock setting on haltech is 400hz but you can try changing it to 244hz.

what exactly do you mean by it not popping up? It needs to be bench tested (should likely pass), and set up in the software. It needs to be sending a duty cycle command, and then the duty cycle command confirmed at the ECU with something that can measure duty cycle or square waves or whatever. After the component and the software is confirmed, then you will know the ISC valve is working as a component, but it is part of a larger idle system. It will require you to retune the idle. If it's idling now with 0 ISC duty, it will need the throttlebody adjusted, spark timing, and other things possible changed to account for a working ISC. It's hours of work to troubleshoot and tune, and either you or he will have to do it.
