I've been researching and looking for a 3rd-gen. rex for quite some time now and am fairly familiar with many aspects of the vehicle, however if anyone knows of any really informative websites with info. pertaining to the FD's, I'd really appreciate you sharing them with me. Information on the different models' equipment options and spec-comparisons, and anything concerning the Spirit R and Bathurst R models would especially be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I know the project will be time-consuming and expensive, but I have decided upon contemplation that it is something I want to do. I have budgeted the project for a 2 year duration, and with the help of my father, my brother, my friend who is also a mechanic, my friend's father who owns a body-shop, and you all on this forum, we should have the tools, the facilities, and the "know-how" to be able to accomplish everything ourselves. The problem so far is finding a cheap project car; since much of the stock components will be changed, it doesn't make sense to buy an expensive, well-restored rex just to take it apart.

 

DaiOni, alot of the links within that link are bad; everytime I click on the links for Mazda's press release for the Type R Bathurst R and the factory specs for the different models, it keeps saying "Not Found". It says the same thing for the "FD's For Sale" link too.

Tuesday Morning I was eating breakfast when my buddy called me up and asked me to go online and check out a car. I had given up on an RX7, Besides my fiance isnt to nice to the whole 2 seater practicality thing. but anyway, There it was, great condition, warranty for 3 years, still has the new car smell even. I bought her....My fiance loves the car....And I wasnt even looking. The point is, The car will fall in your lap when you arent looking. Be patient... I may have just got my RX7, but the road here was long. If your buying a project car, id say pick your budget and search online, go with the best car for your money at the time your ready to buy. Then strip it down and start your lovely goal
