Just got home today and checked out the engine... lo and behold the line that's suppose to be connected to the MAP sensor was disconnected. Stuck it back on and started the car... the shaking was definitely gone but it still seemed slightly rough and smoked a bit

Took it on a short drive and my face was in my palm... the car still had no power and sounded weird like it did before. I decided to turn around and go home and cry, but on the way back the car all of the sudden started going back to normal and I unexpectedly felt the boost kick like it's suppose to

A minute later and everything was fully smoothed out and back to the way it was... stuck the power FC back on and things went great from that point

Pretty big scare... thank GOD it really was the MAP sensor line.

I even took some pics a while ago when the car was smoking and stuttering like crazy, I think I got a little high afterwards

that reminds me of my car

 

Plugs were wet from all the excess fuel that had been sitting in the engine for a week. Now run a new line with zipties so that it doesn't just pop off again.

You can count that one as an early X-mas present.

Yea all that smoke is just your engine running extremely rich. Glad you fixed it.

 

yep...you're lucky the plugs weren't completely wet fouled and you would have had to replace them...but things could have been ALOT worse

I might have the same problem. except I dont have the check valve on the vacum hose, gonna put it on tomorrow. did it look like this...

Did you cut the correct wires when installing the Power FC?
