I'm trying to find out what's the point of your thread? If you're asking if it's rare to find a CYM with only 13k miles, then yes! It's a 1993 car with only 13k miles, YES it's rare!

1. Make sure it's a REAL CYM. A lot of people repaint their cars that color.

2. Make sure the 13k miles is legit. It's all too easy to swap out the odometer portion.

And I think they made something like 350 CYM FD's in the US... That would probably make it in the top 3 lowest mileage CYM FD's... So yea that's rare...

Yeah I would Carfax the VIN # at the very least. Make sure you know what you're dealing with before "rushing" into anything. How much is the seller asking out of curiosity?

If you have the VIN#, to find out rynberg's two points, go to:

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...ersHome.action

Register there for free, and it will tell you estimated mileage, trim package, color, transmission...

Keep in mind that 13,000 miles on a 13 year old car isn't necessarily a good thing. All kinds of things go wrong with a car that sits for a long period of time and deteriorates. I'd want to see service receipts. I, for instance, keep the receipt for every oil filter I buy.
How often has the brake fluid been changed? Are there state inspection receipts showing how much mileage was put on the car each year? One that's been driven periodically is going to be in better shape than a car that's had an oil change every 4 years. Stale gas can gum up the fuel system.
The paint and the interior may look primo, but having to buy new calipers and having an engine go kablooey can take the showroom smile off a new owner's face.

I think the numbers should be higher

i think they must of done it on a cold motor, cause the lady drop it off in the morning, and they did not get to it til the afternoon.

Compression numbers are usually higher on a cold motor.

If engine is "ok" offer them much less because it will cost you to get it in the shape that they claimed. What makes you think it has more than 13K miles? I would offer them 10K-12K, use the rest of the 20K money to fix all the issues and you'll have a really nice car.

I did not say the car was a repaint

i said there were panels that were painted and done very poor, the guy claimed a ferrari delaership did it but they would not have over spray all over, the guy claimed his horse cause damage on the hood i asked the wife she does not know anything about it, , the car was in real poor shape, I would never pay 22k for that car, i just lost 1k in all this mess, the front bumper paint does not even match the rest of the car. the interior had panels broken and scratches all over, i dont even think the odo is real on the car, cause the undercarriage looks way too beat up!! I seriously am warning all dont buy the car, if you dont believe me fly over here to where i am stranded right now springfield MO and check it out yourself!! HUSBAND WIFE COMBINATION SCAM!!! the husband tells me that he bought the car from a old couple in a estate sale, the wife tells me he bought it over the internet!! story dont line up!!! the wires have corrision engine bay was horrible condtion also a exhuast leak, rx7 are real quite this thing sounded like a v8 LOL

RX-7s are not real quiet...at least mine isn't

Sorry for your mistake, but maybe you should have had the guy send you some pics and or done a CARFAX before you dropped a G on your trip to Springfield.

car does not look like what the odo shows, he will never get 22k for it, someone would be really stupid to pay 22k for a car that says 13k but looks like 100k , im so upset, and also the dealer was a dumbass tooo,

That happened to me, flew to Florida and the car was totally misrepresented. At the time I felt like putting the FD into a wall or rear-ending someone, but I'm glad I calmed down and just went home.
