I need your help, idle hunting, can't get it in gear.
First off... I just finished putting in my motor after pulling it.... replacing alot of gaskets, doing the vacume lines, putting a lightweight flywheel and atc s/s clutch in.
After warm up the idle is fluxuating between about 1000 and 1500 rpm. Also the problem with not being able to put it in gear is still there. Can anyone shed some light on these?
Heres a little background.
The reason I pulled it was because I could not put the car in gear when the engine was running. I pulled the service panel and check and the clutch disk was getting pulled from the flywheel (I'm not sure if it was enough) but when I got everything out the pilot bearing was destroyed. I figured that was the problem.
thanks in advance
Chris.

As for your idle hunting like that I had the same problem when I had my engine rebuilt. The problem was that the guy forgot to plug in one of the plugs. It was located right behind the intake plenum; it was a white plug with two wires coming off of it. Sorry I couldn't be more specific about what the plug was called. Just make sure everything is plugged in all the way.

"If the circuit is shoted, the valve will allways fully open, causing high idle speed. (After warm-up engine hunts at approx. 1500 rpm.)"
I checked that plug but that didn't do a thing
I'm going to try plugging back in the stock ecu (just in case) and if that doesn't help I'll check the ISC w/ a voltmeter and then check for vaccume leaks
Any other suggestions?
