recently i have been looking for a 3rdgen rx7, and i found this one on auto trader

i went to the kids house yesterday and i looked at the car, it looked like hell, the interior was all ripped to ****, and there were a bunch of little things broke or missing like vents and handels and so on. He said the engine has 12k on rebuil but the company that did it went out of business so it no longer has a warranty. it seems to me that it is making a funny noise, and it does not sound right, i have never owned a rx7 myself but my uncle had one and it never sounded like that, he said he has a new bushing coming for the shifter, and he has a new ecu coming, becuase it was throwing some wacky codes???? the things that i know are wrong with it is it needs a 5th gear syncro (i dont know how to spell it) and one other little thing, he said he would take 12,900 for it but honestly i dont think that it is worth it, what do you guys think it has over 100k on body, i dont know what to pay for it or even what to offer him, any ideas please post thanks guys

 

NOT WORTH IT! MOVE ON!
I got my Manual, with very very good interior, and a strong motor for 12,500. Just let it go, and be patient.

That car has more issues than Time magazine. I'd pass on it if I were you.
