Maybe grounds

I'm no expert, but have alot of knowledge with rx7s. I would redo all grounds on the car. I ran new ground wires from the batt to the engine bay and to the engine. Is the batt in the original spot? If not, I wouldn't rely on the frame as the ground. How many miles on the car? If over 100,000 the copper in the wires actually gets corroded. Just a thought.

I had a similar problem not too long ago,and let Francho from Francho Performance in MD take a look at the car,and the first and only thing he said was"change your grounds".That took care of alot of stuff, and maybe itll take care of your problems as well.

download the wiring diagram(stickied at top of 3rd gen section)...Near the very end it gives all the ground points w/location.

Also try this: Put the car in gear a push it a little(just enough to see if the engine turns). If it turns try push starting it. If it starts then you are having a starter related problem!

Why didn't you test the starter to verify it's status before buying unneeded parts?
All you had to do was run a wire from the battery 12+ side and touch the control circuit tab on the starter with it. If the starter was ok, the engine would have cranked over.

??????????
