I just wish I had known this before I bought my 93 VR Base model in 1997. It had just come off a lease with 49,000 miles. I paid $20k for it. Mainly, because at that time, there were only a handful for sale and hardly any in the southeast U.S.
I guess i was pretty lucky, because i got to 114,000 miles before my clutch went. At that time, I decided to do the rebuild and added some performance & reliability mods.
Now, it's the Bomb!
I love my RX-7!
